Gaining a Deep Understanding of Yoga

Monthly Study Group in Santa Monica

The Yoga Sutras, written by Indian physician Patañjali about 2,500 years ago, is an essential guide for anyone practicing yoga or interested in Yoga.

It gives the reasons to do yoga, the methods, obstacles, and results of yoga practice.

There are many translations of the Yoga Sutras.

These study sessions use a current translation and commentary: Yoga Sutras of Patañjali: Book Two - Sādhana Pāda, by Baba Hari Dass.

The study sessions are hosted by four students of Baba Hari Dass.
