Who is Baba Hari Dass?

Baba Hari Dass is a monk and master yogi who was initiated in the Vairagi Vaishnava order in 1942. He was classically trained in the authentic traditions of yoga that have been passed along from guru to disciple over thousands of years.

He practices silence, communicating instead by chalk board, and has developed a deep understanding and compassion for the human condition. Babaji has lived in the U.S. since 1971, and is the inspiration behind Mount Madonna Center in Northern California. He has written several books in English including translations and commentaries on the Yoga Sutras, books on Ashtanga Yoga, and stories for children. He also teaches the Bhagavad Gita and Samkhya Karika.
